Lost in the Trees / Found in the Forest is a digital art project by Karina Abramova, exploring the relationship between humanity, nature, and technology using emerging tech for ecological awareness. The project was funded by the New Forest National Park Authority’s Sustainable Communities Fund and is part of an ongoing post-graduate research project at Central Saint Martins. The project includes a walk, script, and digital art, exhibited using the Membit AR platform, with the benefit of not disturbing nature or emitting carbon.
With Membit, you can generate AR experiences that display a particular landscape’s beauty, highlight special natural characteristics, or convey knowledge about various plants and animals. For instance, you could design an augmented reality (AR) experience that informs users about the various bird species that can be found in a specific nature reserve. You may post augmented reality throughout the reserve and offer people audio or video content that explains the birds that they are viewing. As an alternative, you could develop an augmented reality experience that offers visitors a virtual tour of a national park while exhibiting the many landscapes, plants, and creatures that can be found within the park. If you want to share your passion for the outdoors with other users, download Membit now!
